Tips for Every Game Mode in BO7

Whether you’re new to Call of Duty or are simply wanting to test out new game modes you’re not overly familiar with, we’ve compiled over 21 essential tips and tricks to help you succeed in every game mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7., wheter it be Domination, Hardpoint, Team Deathmatch or more.

Domination Tips and Tricks

These game modes are all about playing the objective. There are three available throughout the entire match. You’ll want to focus on at least one as your primary location, and attempt to defend it for as long as possible, as you want to score points consistently.
Rotate around the map to bypass enemy players directly running through the middle. You might be able to sneak around to steal the third objective that doesn’t have as many enemies protecting it.
If you’re playing with a friend, stick together. Fighting in pairs increases your chances of defeating enemies, and you’ll have a better chance of stealing objectives.
Don’t focus on kills; it’s all about scoring points and holding the objective.

Hardpoint Tips and Tricks

Similar to Domination, this game mode focuses primarily on scoring points for your team. Kills are nice, but you mostly want to try to secure the objective, which is rotating around the map.
Try seeking out alternative paths that take you around the side, bypassing larger clusters of enemies. Everyone is heading to the same location, and following a similar path could get you eliminated quickly.
Bring explosives, and lots of them. The enemy team will try clustering in a single area, and softening them with grenades never hurts.
Vantage points are a good way to pick off enemies that are trying to hold specific chokepoints on the maps. If you can clear the way for your team, you’ll have a better chance at scoring points as the match continues.

Kill Confirmed Tips and Tricks

With a focus on taking down other enemies, always keep track of where you eliminate them. Where they go down is where they drop their dog tags, and you’ll need to pick those up to earn points for your team.
Watching out for when your allies go down is also a good way to prevent enemies from scoring points, as they have to pick up those dog tags. If you can pick them up first, you’ll avoid them from obtaining additional points.
You can track down untouched dog tags using your mini map, indicating where enemies and allies have fallen. Don’t be afraid to pick up ones that are floating around the map to secure points.
Consistently moving is a key to winning Kill Confirmed, as you picking up dog tags should always be a priority. Find ways to optimize your movement, and learn where enemies are moving using the Hunter’s Instinct and Tracker perks.

Overload Tips and Tricks

You’ll be swapping between defense and offense quickly. Optimize your loadout for rapid gameplay, where you’re moving around the map and evading enemies to reach objective points.
If you carry the overload device, run with your allies to swerve through the enemies to deliver to the objective. You only score by placing it on an objective; kills are a secondary priority.
When holding the overload device, use the provided UAV to your advantage and outmaneuver the enemy team to score a point. Unfortunately, they also see you as a highlight on the map, meaning they’re always chasing after you.
If you’re defending an objective, cutting off routes and aiming for chokepoints is a good way to surprise an incoming team, but expect multiple foes as they typically run in packs to protect the overload device.
The Ghost and Ninja perk is a good one to use on both offensive and defensive strategies for this map, and is a recommended option to sneak up on enemies frequently using UAVs.

Team Deathmatch Tips and Tricks

Team Deathmatch is all about taking down the enemy team, using your best skills, loadouts, and talents to secure the most points. Choose your favorite weapons, and don’t be afraid to be as aggressive as possible.
Scorestreaks are a good way to obtain eliminations against an enemy team much faster than running around the map. Grabbing the Looper, Bankroll, Assassin, and Vendetta are good ways to earn these more often. The Enforcer and Hybrid combat speciality role may also provide you with additional support.
The Echo Unit or the Active Camo field upgrades can surprise enemies, making it easier to trick them and force them to give away their position.

Search and Destroy Tips and Tricks

With no respawns available on Search and Destroy, each life matters the most. Make the most of it without relying on scorestreaks, or earning kills, as the enemy team only has six lives before the match resets.
Learning the enemy team’s movement and position give you the best chance to surprise them, which means using the Hunter’s Instinct, Blast Link, and Tracker is a good way to find out where they are before they find you. You might also consider picking up the Ghost, Ninja, or Shadow perks to hide yours.
Assault Rifles, SMGs, and Shotguns are preferred primary weapons, as they can quickly overtake an enemy before they can react. Sniper rifles are also a strong choice, but risky, as missing a shot means your location is exposed, and you have little time to react if you’re overwhelmed.
